It was really hyped for the first like 3 weeks it ran and then the hype slowly went down as the audience realized the author did not actually know what he was doing with this concept he'd come up with and then it ended entirely after only 14 chapters, rip in pieces.
I hate to say this but I really do think Tsugumi Ohba could've pulled off the time loop aspect. He could not have pulled off the genius mangaka being a girl aspect, but he could've made the complex twisty plot thing work. I feel like the creator just kinda bit off more than he could chew and that's why it didn't work out
Yeah I mean some people are into high concept stories, some people like lower concept stories, Pride and Prejudice is "just a bunch of people going to each other's houses" like that one star review said and it's still amazing and very popular but so is FMA and that's extremely plot driven! Lotta different kinds of stories for different audiences out there
